June 24, 2004 - CTDN & Community Tissue Services sponsored a Donor Awareness Game/Volunteer Appreciation Night with the Fresno Grizzlies. Many volunteers & staff attended the game & helped to staff the booth. Organ donation brochures and Giants donor/collector cards were handed out at each gate entrance. Arcadio & Adrian Castellanos threw out the first pitch in honor of Arcadio's brother, Lucas who was an organ donor. Wild Thing & Wacky Jacky performed a skit during the Game ending with Wild Thing signing his donor card. We participated in a "giveaway throw" where chap sticks & Frisbees were given away. The Fresno Grizzlies staffed a table for Giants Cookbook sales where proceeds benefit The Transplant Network & Step to the Plate Foundation. Approx. 6,000 were in attendance for this special night.
