When you register to become an organ and tissue donor, rest assured that your decision is a generous one and will be honored. Individual state governments have enacted legislation to protect your right to make a donation directive and to have your wishes honored.
In 2010, the United States Attorney General Association’s office issued a statement supporting the rights of individuals to make an anatomical gift decision and confirms that this decision cannot be revoked or changed without that individuals consent.
